Eight hookahs sit at the top of our Hookahs collection right now when it is sorted by best selling, and they run from $49.99 to $319.99. That spread covers a 14 inch glass base starter, a carbon travel pipe, a compact Russian stem and a full kit that arrives with its own tongs and LED remote. Prices, sale badges and stock below were read off the live listings on October 15, 2026.
Here is the part that catches people out. Two of the eight are not complete hookahs when the box arrives. The Zahrah Spade V2 is a stem, and the Alpha Model X ships without a base. Both are strong buys if you already own glass that fits them, and both are an expensive surprise if you were planning to unbox and set up the same evening.
We have shipped hookah gear out of Moorpark, California since 2013, and we check these listings ourselves rather than working from a brand catalog. Every figure below comes off our own product pages, so you are reading included parts, manufacturer measurements and the price exactly as the listing shows it.
For adults 21 and older. Hookah Junkie sells tobacco products only to adults 21 and older, as required by federal law. See our ordering info for age and shipping terms.
What a best selling list does and does not tell you
Our collection page loads with best selling already selected, so the running order reflects what has actually been moving rather than a lineup we arranged by hand. That makes it a useful signal and a limited one. It tells you which hookahs enough adults have bought recently to climb the list, which usually means the price, the build and the included parts line up. It does not tell you that the top seller is the right hookah for your shelf, your glass or your hose.
It also moves. Sales volume shifts week to week, and a deep discount can lift a model several places. Treat the order below as a snapshot taken on one day rather than a permanent ranking, and treat the prices the same way.
One honest footnote on the list itself. The sixth slot on the live page is held by the Zahrah Spade hose adapters, a $5.99 accessory rather than a hookah, and it was sold out when we looked. We have left it out and kept the eight actual hookahs, which is why the numbering here runs straight from one to eight.
The eight, in the order they are selling
1. Starbuzz Carbine, $319.99: the one that arrives with everything
The Carbine's legs adjust independently, which is the feature that matters if your table or deck is not level.
At $319.99 it is the most expensive hookah here and one of only two on this list without a sale badge, so it is selling at its list price. The listing describes all terrain adjustable length legs, a deep anodized medical grade silicone hose system, a color changing LED with a remote, stainless steel carbine tongs, a detachable 360 degree rotating stem and a 24mm adjustable metal diffuser. A diffuser is the perforated tip on the end of the downstem that breaks the draw into smaller bubbles.
What you are paying for is not having to buy anything else. Tongs, hose and diffuser are in the box, the stem detaches for cleaning, and a replacement base is listed separately at $29.99, which is worth knowing about any hookah you intend to keep for years. Nineteen of its twenty one options were in stock when we checked.
2. Vyro One, $199.99: carbon build with the hose port underneath
The hose connects at the bottom rather than the side, which is what stops the hose kinking over the edge of a table.
$199.99, down from a regular price of $229.99. The listing specifies a real carbon tube, a V2A stainless steel base and lid, a dip tube with an integrated diffuser, a smoke tube, a blowpipe with a blow off valve and a head adapter. V2A is a stainless steel grade designation, so every part on this hookah that sits in water is stainless steel.
Two details make this the travel pick rather than just a small hookah. The low center of gravity and bottom mounted hose connection are described as keeping it stable and stopping the hose from kinking, and the carbon and stainless construction is meant to survive being packed and unpacked. If you take a hookah to a friend's place more often than you set one up at home, this is the shape that tolerates it. Twelve of its seventeen finishes were available.
3. Alpha Model X, $289.99: Russian engineering, bring your own glass
A magnetic hose connector means there is no port grommet to perish, but it also means your existing hose may not attach.
$289.99, down from a regular price of $299.99. Read this one carefully, because the base is not included. The listing states a stainless steel interior, a 16 mm internal shaft, a removable diffuser, an approximately 7 inch downstem and a 6 inch visible shaft, and it ships with a 1.5 meter soft touch silicone hose, a large Alpha tray, a magnetic hose connector and the original packaging.
That is a lot of hardware for the money and still not a working hookah on its own. There is a base alone option on the same listing at $40.00 if you need one, so budget accordingly. The magnetic hose connector is the detail to check against your existing gear, since it holds the hose without a traditional port grommet, which is the rubber collar a hose normally pushes into, and it will not accept every hose you own.
4. Zahrah Spade V2, $129.99: four hose ports and no base
Four hose ports is the spec that decides this one, because four people on a single hose stem means passing it around all evening.
$129.99, with no sale badge. This is a stem rather than a complete hookah, and the listing is specific about what it fits. Total height is 31.5 inches, made up of a 21.5 inch stem and a 10 inch downstem, it supports four hoses, and it works with all Egyptian and Bohemian bases.
In the box you get the stem, a 9 inch aluminum tray, rubber washers and a base grommet. The V2 revision anodizes the whole stem rather than painting it, which is aimed at the chipping and peeling that eventually ruins a colored stem, and it adds a stainless steel diffuser and reworked valves. Additional hose adapters are sold separately, and on the day we checked that adapter listing was sold out, so if you want all four ports running order the adapters when they return. Three of its five colors were in stock.
5. MOB AK-47, $119.99: the deepest discount on the list
Nine finishes were in stock, which is unusual on a discounted model and means you can still pick a color rather than take what is left.
$119.99, down from a regular price of $199.99, which works out at 40 percent off and is the steepest cut here. The design is built around an AK-47 inspired silhouette, so this is a shape you either want on the table or you do not, and the listing leans on that styling more than on measurements.
That is worth saying plainly. The product page does not publish a height, a shaft diameter or a hose fitting type, so if you need those figures before buying, ask us rather than assume. What is on the page is the finish range and the discount, and all nine finishes were in stock when we checked, which is the widest color availability of anything on this list.
6. Mya QT, $49.99: 14 inches, real glass, and a wire basket
At 14 inches this fits in a cupboard rather than on display, and the glass base is the reason it still feels like a proper hookah.
$49.99, down from a regular price of $59.99, and the cheapest hookah on the list by a clear margin. The listing puts it at 14 inches tall with a stainless steel shaft, a thick cut glass base and a matching 6 foot synthetic leather hose, and it includes tongs, rubber seals, a tray and a cleaning brush.
What makes this one easy to recommend is that nothing is missing from it. Glass base, metal shaft, hose, tongs, tray and brush for under fifty dollars is a complete setup, not a stripped one. Instead of a padded case it comes with a wire basket that holds the pipe disassembled, which is less protective than a bag but easier to store. If you want one hookah that lives in a cupboard and comes out when people visit, this is the obvious answer on this list.
7. MOB Cloud King, $119.99: a diffuser you can switch off
A switchable diffuser is a genuine convenience feature, because the rumble a diffuser creates is the thing most people either like or want gone.
$119.99, down from a regular price of $149.99. The listing calls out an internal carb system, a diffuser you can switch on or off, a plug in hose connection and a lotus style tray. Eleven finishes are listed including two football club editions, and ten were available when we checked.
The switchable diffuser is the feature worth understanding, because a diffuser changes how the draw sounds and feels, and not everyone wants it running. Being able to turn it off rather than unscrew and lose a part is a small, real convenience. The internal carb is a release valve that clears stale air from the chamber without pulling the hose out, and the plug in hose fitting means no port grommet to replace, though as with the Alpha it limits which hoses will attach.
8. Amy Deluxe Travel, $69.99: 34 centimeters and a bag to carry it
The quarter turn click fitting is what makes this one quick to break down, which matters more on a travel hookah than any other spec.
$69.99, down from a regular price of $109.99. The listing identifies it as the AMY 094 Alu Travel, 34 cm tall on a vase 20 cm across, with an aluminum smoke column to keep the weight down and a travel bag included. All seven colors were in stock.
It is the only hookah here that ships with a bag designed for it, which is the difference between a small hookah and a travel hookah. The stem locks to the vase with a quarter turn click system rather than a threaded fitting, and the box includes an ashtray, a bowl, tongs and a roughly 150 cm silicone hose with a stainless steel nozzle. Vase, column, hose and silicone grip come in matching colors, so it looks deliberate rather than assembled from spares.
How to choose between these eight
Fit matters more than finish. Before the color or the silhouette, work out whether the hookah you are looking at will actually assemble with what you own, because that is the question that turns a good price into a returned parcel.
Work through base, then hose, then size
Start with the base. If you have no glass, rule out the Zahrah Spade V2 and the Alpha Model X or add the cost of a base to their prices before you compare. If you already have an Egyptian or Bohemian base sitting unused, the Spade V2 becomes the cheapest way here to get a four port anodized stem onto it.
Then check the hose connection, because three of these handle it differently and none of them are compatible with each other. The Alpha Model X uses a magnet, the Cloud King uses a plug in fitting, and the Vyro One takes the hose at the bottom of the body. A drawer full of hoses that fit a traditional grommet port may fit none of them, so plan for the hose that comes in the box to be the hose you use.
Size is the last filter and the one people get wrong in the other direction. A 14 inch Mya QT and a 34 cm Amy Deluxe are easy to store and quick to clean. A 31.5 inch Spade V2 on a full base is a piece of furniture. Neither is better, but one of them has to live somewhere in your home when the session ends. If you are buying your first setup rather than adding to a collection, our guide to the best hookahs for beginners works through the same decisions at entry level prices, and our Hookah Vault collection is where the higher end stems live if none of these are enough.
Check the included parts list, not just the price
A complete hookah arrives with a base, a stem, a hose, a bowl, a tray, tongs and the rubber grommets that seal the joints. The Starbuzz Carbine, Mya QT and Amy Deluxe Travel all meet that description on their listings. The Zahrah Spade V2 and the Alpha Model X do not include a base, and the MOB AK 47 page does not itemize what comes in the box at all. Read the included parts list on every listing before you compare two numbers, because a base you still have to buy changes the real cost of the cheaper option.
What the FDA says, stated plainly
Everything above is hardware. No shisha or other tobacco product is named, pictured or linked in this guide. Even so, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulates hookah tobacco and also regulates the hardware around it, including bowls, hoses and charcoal, as components. On its hookah tobacco page the agency states the following.
"There are no safe tobacco products."
The agency also states that people who use tobacco from a hookah absorb more carbon monoxide than people who smoke cigarettes, and that water does not filter smoke clear of harmful chemicals. It notes that bacteria can live in a hookah hose, which is the practical reason a washable or replaceable hose matters and why cleaning supplies belong in the same order as a new pipe. Federal law sets the minimum age for buying any tobacco product at 21, with no exceptions for retailers.

Adult buyer questions
What is the best hookah to buy?
There is no single best hookah, and the best selling order is not a quality ranking. On this list the Starbuzz Carbine at $319.99 is the most complete setup, the Mya QT at $49.99 is the best value as a first pipe, the Vyro One at $199.99 is the one built for travel, and the Zahrah Spade V2 at $129.99 is the best choice only if you already own an Egyptian or Bohemian base. Decide which of those situations is yours before comparing anything else.
How much does a good hookah cost?
A complete, well built hookah costs roughly $50 to $320 at Hookah Junkie, based on the eight best selling models priced on October 15, 2026. Spending more buys included accessories, machined fittings and materials like carbon and stainless steel rather than a fundamentally different pipe. Add the cost of a base to any stem sold on its own before you compare two prices, because that is where a cheap option stops being cheap.
Enthusiast verdict
If you want one recommendation from this list, it is the Mya QT at $49.99 for a first or second pipe and the Starbuzz Carbine at $319.99 if you would rather buy once and own every part. The two that need the most thought are the Zahrah Spade V2 and the Alpha Model X, both excellent and both incomplete without glass you supply yourself. Prices move, sales end and stock turns over, so check the live listing before you commit. Everything here is for adults 21 and older.
