The Kaloud Ayara Carbon Filter Adapter (Large) is a ceramic and aluminum downstem diffuser that holds an activated carbon filter pod inside your hookah. It filters gases, micro-residues, fine particles and ash out of the smoke on its way from the bowl to the base.
This is the part of a session nobody talks about. A heat management device stops the tobacco scorching, but ash and ultra-fine particles still travel down the stem. The Ayara catches them.
It changes what reaches you without changing what the tobacco tastes like. That is a deliberate design choice, and it is the difference between a filter and a flavor filter.
What it does
Air leaves the bowl carrying more than smoke. Ash, micro-residue and volatile gases come with it. The Ayara sits in the downstem path with an activated carbon pod inside, and the carbon binds the compounds that make a long session feel heavy.
Flavor comes through intact. The filter is targeting what you did not want in the first place.

Large or Small
The Large adapter takes tall pods and suits standard thin-stem hookahs. If your stem is shorter, you need the small version instead. Measure before you order, because the two are not interchangeable.
Care and replacement
Carbon pods are consumable. Replace them when sessions stop feeling as clean, rather than on a fixed schedule.
Rinse the adapter itself with warm water between pod changes. Let it dry fully before reassembly.
