Description
The Kaloud Samsaris Kore Qi (氣) Red Clay is a short natural red clay hookah bowl in a high-temperature silicone housing, built to work with every Kaloud Lotus. Red clay holds heat steadily and, because it is porous, it carries a small amount of moisture that opens up flavor as the session runs.
This is the flavor bowl of the Kore range. The porosity is the point. Where a glazed surface is completely neutral, red clay interacts slightly with the tobacco, and lighter blends taste fuller for it.
A faint trace of surface moisture on a new bowl is normal. That is the clay doing what it is supposed to do, not a defect.
Clay, ceramic or aluminum
Black clay (Dào) suits dark leaf and hot sessions. It takes heat hard and keeps giving it back.
Red clay (Qì) is the porous one. It holds a little moisture, which is what opens up flavor on lighter blends.
Ceramic is the neutral middle. Even heat, easy to clean, forgiving.
Aluminum runs hottest of all and is a different tool entirely.

What it fits
All Kaloud Lotus heat management devices: Lotus I+, Lotus II and Lotus III. The short profile is deliberate, it puts the coals closer to the tobacco without crowding it.
How to pack it
This is a short bowl, so it takes less tobacco than a tall phunnel and comes up faster. Pack a few millimetres below the rim and start with fewer coals than you would use on a deeper bowl.
The silicone housing means you can move it warm without tongs.
Care and cleaning
Let it cool fully, then rinse with warm water and a soft brush. No dishwasher, no abrasives, no detergent soaking.
Red clay is porous by design. A slight trace of surface moisture is normal and is part of how the bowl works, not a fault.
